A Celtic thank you to our COVID-19 first responders on March 11, 2023 at the Cleland Theatre in Penticton
Six-Time World Champion Simon Fraser University Pipe Band
Based in Burnaby, British Columbia, the SFU Pipe Band Society is the musical ambassador for Simon Fraser University. The band has also performed concerts at some of world's most prestigious performing arts venues including Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and Lincoln Center, creating live recordings at these venues among its 12 albums and videos.
A Celtic folk-rock band from Kelowna BC. Since their debut show on St. Patrick’s day 2007 they have performed at Vancouver’s CelticFest, Canmore Highland Games and throughout the Okanagan Valley. Their popular album “Bloody Brilliant” has been featured on numerous podcasts and radio stations from Vancouver to Cork.
All funds raised at this event through our cash bar and donation baskets will be given to Honour Ranch.
Located on 120 acres of rolling hills that overlook the South Thompson River, Honour Ranch is a tranquil retreat, a place of education and personal growth. Here, members of our Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Emergency Services Personnel, and their families can discover cutting edge strategies in the treatment of operational stress injuries including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The goal: empower these heroes so they are better equipped to navigate the often debilitating emotional and physical stresses of selfless commitment to service.
Interested in Attending?
Our honoured guests will be invited from Penticton and RDOS (Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen), BC Ambulance, Fire Departments, Penticton Regional Hospital, BC Interior Health, Indigenous Health Departments, and RCMP Detachments from within the RDOS. These invited guests will be given first priority for tickets.
General community requests for tickets will be notified when they are available for pick-up. These requests will be distributed on a first come/first served basis and notified after February 28, 2023.
